The story is by Chandramogan Nag !

The speciality of the tele serial is taking the same scene twice one with lighting and the other without lighting- simulating a no light scene but showing the faces clearly with camera man's tricks coming out clearly!

Climax is a challenging one for the troupe who made that a reality !

This is about my accidental encounter with Roti Mum (R) !
Recently we visited Singapore Discovery Centre. (About this beautiful place you can find great photos later !) After that we happened to chance upon IMM the great shopping Mall of Jurong East !

As usually when we were going around the shopping and eatery malls I found this Name quite interesting - Roti Mum ! Really I was astonished by the combination of such a great mix - Roti is a Hindi word meaning Bread. Mum is colloquial English for Mother ! And this Roti Mum is a Hot Hot Bread - Shop in this IMM Mall !

What is special about Roti Mum(R) ? Their Coffee Bread ! This is the first time we had a Coffee Bread ! It was really delicious and was just mouth watering and vanishing in the mouth with in seconds ! Such tasty, hot, hot Roti Mums ! They claim Roti Mum is Singapore's Best ! Obviously it should be I presume for such a nice quality of Bread and such competitively priced per piece of Bread ! They are 'still serving Mum's Original Recipe !

The Sunday Times have given them accolade of "Best Coffee Bun in Singapore !!. You can find the Sunday Times full page ad their too !

The serving suggestions are also simple: In conventional Oven,Pre-heat over to the required temperature 200 degree Celsius. Place Coffee Buns on baking tray, insert and Re-heat for 2 minutes ! As simple as that ! In Toaster Oven place buns on tray and shelter with small aluminium foil-just insert and re-heat for 2 minutes !

You need to taste that hot hot buns to relish the moments of Mum !

A recent visit to Sakae Sushi brings me the charm and memoirs of Japan and Japanese Cooking.

Its really every where- East,West,North and Central and so eventually all the places of Singapore-People's Park,Bugis Village,Shaw Plaza, Toa Payoh, Hougang, Bishan, Bedok, Tampines Mall, Marine Parade, West Mall, Jurong East, White Sands !
Singaporeans like Pizzas. That too if they are delicious !
So Sakae Sushi have also come out with Sakae Japanese Pizza of variety Chinmi, Chilli Mayo Prawn, Unagi Oshinko, Teriyaki Chicken ! Its really Sakae's Latest Creation Josh !

They have also come up with Dazzling Christmas Sets, Twinkling Christmas sets and Shimmering Christmas Sets !

Dictions And Contradictions !

Language is a wonderful,thought provoking and sharpener of the thought process.
An idea expressed in certain languages gives a real punch depending on the context scene.

English is such a language that people of different clime,geographical locations have adapted it and I would dare say acclimatized it to such an extent that their flavor for the language is much more than their native tongue.

Here I give below some of the diction and contradictions I came across during my recent readings.

First to blow your mind for the required tuning :

" A learned man's learning shines the brightest among luminaries capable of critiquing his language"

"Speaking to an audience of thinking men is like watering a bed of growing plants."

With the above opening sentences read and enjoy the following diction and contradictions !!

The open quadrangle near the Raffles is a lovely vibrating scintillating active musical area ! When I say so people may bang me how all the good things at one place called Raffles. Yet to me it appears Raffles is really so ! As the morning wakes up you find the place buzzling with people rushing to eateris,breakfasts,business. As the day slowly moves to around 9 am you find ocean of People taking different routes to the Raffles to catch up with their business. Its a great time during Lunch hours !! You find the News paper Today (Now its ranked the 2nd Top News paper of the City of Lion) getting distributed for its free! You find myPaper as well like that. Today comes with Morning and Noon Editions ! Sometimes you find people queuing up for Freebies for the companies promote here freebies to advertise their products. You find suddenly some shops with the Covered up Place selling from Tea to Lovely Biscuits to ads for latest release of Mobiles or Slimming Devices ! All in the game ! As the evening approaches you find the place with colourful lighting ! It has an adjoint Riverwalk and about that later ! Marvels of the world are many. Many are Natural. Some are man made. Telecom Singapore Vs India

Continuing on the subject of blue tooths and wireless and wifi worlds -

Recently I read in India in the month of october alone around 4.7 million telephone subscribers added upto the mobile band wagon !

When I read this I was really astonished.

The population of Singapore is around 4.7 million may be ? And here the telecom providers vie day in and day out and trying to create almost 100% to the populace the telephone subscribers.

And India is adding that number in one month !!

Ofcourse populace of two differently geographical size countries cannot be compared. Also their economies are divergent as well.

The other statistics thats interesting about India is that its only 177 million telephone subscribers comapared to its populace of 1 billion plus which means only 10% of the population is covered by !!

So it appears a great potential for the Telecom market in the Indian Subcontinent ?

I hope the great Singtel or Starhub of Singapore take a look and see if they can chip into cash in ? or any of the world market telecom leaders also chip in ?

What the subcontinent in terms of cashin to the mega telecom providers could be in terms of per customer income of 10 US $ per month yet considering the market potential its a great opportunity that can be explored ?

Its not that Gold Rush happens only in past but the stories of Mcnna's Gold can be in different forms and colors !

During Lunch time was discussing with colleague about the Madness or so called 'mad' of the modern world.

Just kidding- In our childhood days you see some people talking to 'some one' there being no such 'some one' and we called them 'mad people'.

In the current hi-fi electronic world we have what we call 'mobilers' ( me too one) who use 'blue tooth' (god has given us tooth-32 or so and this is new one- this 'teath' is for the ears) attached to the fascinating stuff called 'ears' and you just walk the talk !!.

The other side presume your fiancy is there you start blabbering murmuring splashing etc.,

and to the passer by ( if he had come from some 'other non-blue tooth-world' ) this chap will appear like a "Mad modern world " Poor chap talking into the air !!.

So Bleu-toothed 'eared' Mad of the Modern World we are !!

Shankar Ehsaan Loy !

Recently Kala Utsavam concluded in Esplanade in Singapore.

Its a mega event every year that takes place here during November around Deepaavali days !

During this festive season Shankar Mahadevan also performed his trio band Shankar Ehson & Loy the famed trio performing a great show of music to the ears !

Later to this event I happened to visit Vivo City(about this great place some time later) and I happened to chance take a photo of one of the shopping mall there by name Charles & Kleith where per chance Shankar was shopping.

Spontaneous English- Singlish !

English is the Language of the 'English Man'

Industrial Revolution and the British Raj spread English in length and breadth of Asia.

The beuty is that each of those countries that adopted the Language made their own contribution to English.

They added flavours of spelling,pronounciation, grammer( contradictions and exceptions),style of speaking and writing.

So we have Indian English as opposed to British or American English.

The Lion City 'roars' with 'Singlish'- because Singlish is spontaneous English !!-- it really makes you Roar with laughter !! Singa in Sanskrit means Lion.

So its Lion's English !!

There is also a movement to have good english in the city of Lion.

So we have banners/ads that show a Singlish sentence and a good english sentence hinting us to learn correct English.

The Monkey whenever see those ads thinks of Learning more Singlish than the Good English- it is said ' Mind is a Monkey' and Spontaniety is the hallmark of the Monkey !!

Good English may be learnt through efforts !!

Singlish over a period of time may vanish !!

After all it is human mind that decides whether a language should exist and if so in what form !!

Language of the Heart however continues subtly- For it is with out Language !!

Is west always west ?

It is in relation to the part of the world you are in !

For Far East even Middle East is West !

Monkey goes west is a popular Chinese classic.

In this classic the Monkey saved by his Master accompanies the Master during the Master's visit to the West.

When we say west we get immediately in mind that its Europe.

Not necessarily !!

For an eastern country of China India is the West.

So the Master started travelling to India to get the Sanskrit works of Buddha.

On his travels he encounters a great deal of obstacles.

The Monkey is the one who by virtue of Karma is strangled under the earth. He is saved by the Monk by His Grace. So the Monkey wants to serve the Master. But the Monkey is short tempered as compared to the generous mercy of the Master. So the Master advices the Monkey to have compassion. But the Monkey by nature is angered.

Master asks the Monkey to go away from him. But the Monkey cannot leave the Master. So he follows the Master without his knowledge and at times of problem facing the ghost who is planning to kill the Master, steps in and makes a great fight against the ghost to protect the Master.

During the travails apparently lots of obstacles come in the way of the Master. The Monkey steps in and acts as a saviour. On the Path also a ghost turned into Horse and a Pig join the Monk and follow the Path of Buddha. These three protect the Master during his travels to West -- India !!

There is a great two hour Movies made by Shaw Brothers by the same name Monkey goes west -- Watch it if you are able to grab a copy of the same.

Drama and Dharma !!

Shakespeare says the world is a playground and we are the players. I am not sure exactly the words the meaning is some thing like the world as a Play House !

Drama ! is a great word for Play as well.

In pronounciation the Dharma and Drama go hand in hand !

Dharma is for one to perform one's duties ! Drama is a Play House !

A drama can be over come if Dharma of righteousness can be adhered to !

Though this comparison appears very simple when we think of this in deep we can find more meaningful drama in our life where the director is ourselves

So be on Dharma for a better Drama to Reach Rama !!

The south Indian’s (especially tamilians) zing towards filter coffee is notorious!
Similarly the Italian coffee the other one – Cappuccino is world popular.
Talking of Cappuccino the Italian Coffee shop ‘Pronto’ of Japan is really popular for morning coffee lovers !
The Spinelli (It’s a ‘fuel for thought’ famed coffee maker) of French is a loveable one indeed with the aroma spreading up the straits of singapore !

Singapore Asian Civilisation Museum !!

Singapore has a beutiful Museum by name Asian Civilisation Museum !!

Never miss an opportunity to visit the museum if you are visitng the Lion City.

The Museum has cross cultural artefacts of Chinese,Indian,Malay,Indonesian, Local and varied cultures and civilisations !!

One of the interesting statues that attracted me was Saint Agastyar's standing posture rock cut out that is from the Far Eastern Indonesian Islands that is preserved here !!

Saint Agastyar is considered in Tamil Literature as one of the Siddhars. Siddhar is one who has gained some "Siddhi" (Mystical Power).

Read the book on Baabaji you find that the Agastyar is supposed to have travelled out of South India and may far east locations. This probably signifies why agastyar is popular in Indonesian Islands !

Surprisingly we find that this statue of Agastyar is available in this Asiatic Museum not from India but from Indonesian Origin.

Such is the variety of this Asiatic Museum. To talk about that words not enough. One should visit to understand it

During National Day Holidays the museum is thrown open to the public graciously free of admission charges too!!

Beautiful Science

Beauty is subject of Aesthitics.

The old adage goes - Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Is that true in the current generation ?

If you observe around you, in the Market you find so many beuty clinicis, beauty parlours, beauticians beauty beauty beauty !!

We also find people glamorous not so glamarous trying to be beautiful going for these clinics to appear more beautiful more 'presentful' !

So beauty is no more in the eyes of the beholder !!

Its now a matter of experiments of Science- So you find a scientific approach to beauty which is subject of art !!

Science that can not sustain or give back toe Market or to the Business is a science that is having no recognition.

So we find Science vying to convey some beautiful concepts/creams to enhance the beauty !!

So Beauty minded conscious generation - hats off for we are generating a great revenue out of a market that indulges consciously in blending Art that is beauty , Science that is approach and Business that finds a Hill out of a Mole !!

Freeze Stop Thaw !!

We have in our Tandem GBS Banking Environment a phrase called Freeze Stop Thaw !!
An interesting thought about this !

When the server goes mad( I am not kidding but this is my observation that servers can also go mad like the monkey) the techy has no alternative to scratch brain and finally bangs his head and comes out shouting do that FST Business may be we can have some solution !

This FST is nothing but Freezing stopping and 'Thawing'(giving a kick to) the Server !!

In our real life too we end up in certain situations where we end up in cul de sac many
times !!

So here is my slogan for those situations. This may look absurd but start thinking about this it appears more joyful and fun !!

So whats the Punch line ?

Freeze the Past

Spin the Present

Thaw the Future !!

See if this works !! Mostly it should really give a 'kick' to the static situation and revamp and rejunavanate our lives !!

One of the wonderful slogans of my city's Toffee maker is ' A Terrific Treat in every Sweet' !

Yes it was really nice toffee maker of my town.

They were in to that business for a quite long time. Since I was a child I watched this company in awe.

The smell of the cholocates emanating from the factory was really marvellous for the passer by like me whose nostrils awaited the lovely fragrance.

Its childhood memories though yet their slogan still reverbates for its quite embedded in the memory.

Probably childhood memories are always sweety for we are in awe during all those times ?

Indian diaspora mega event of Kala Utsavam of Indian Music.

The Violin Fame Kunnaikudi the maestro in whose hands the vionlin becomes a melody !

Kala Utsavam is held every year in Lion city in and around of time of Deepavali.Deepavali is a Mega time in Lion City.

The Little India area is colourfully decorated during this period.

This year theme was colorful peacock adoring the Little India.The Lion City has many festivities beauties marvels and Lo its a vibrant city of joy !
